With over 25 years of experience in the agricultural industry, Blake is a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln who is passionate about agriculture. Before joining Golden Harvest and its legacy brands as an agronomist in 2007, Blake was a retail agronomist for 13 years. Blake covers Golden Harvest agronomy in south central Nebraska and enjoys helping farmers address corn and soybean field challenges.
Blake is a hands-on agronomist who likes to work with farmers on a face-to-face and case-by-case basis. For him, paying personal visits, talking about the farmer’s goals, and walking the fields can’t be beat. “E-Luminate is that bigger, broader roadmap that gives farmers a true picture of their field and what seeds are going to give them the results they want,” says Blake. “It’s definitely a really nice tool that lets us go back and look at multiyear data, and then go forward with a solid plan in place.”
Blake respects the relationships he has with the farmers he serves and strives to give them every advantage possible. Whether it’s a seed recommendation or uncovering a hidden root disease, he doesn’t stop until he gets to the right solution. In his own words, “I like having farmers ask me what’s going on. And I like trying to solve problems for them. It’s as simple as that.”
